Bel Canto

The style flourished and developed in Italy in the Baroque era by the Florentina Camerata. Its influence on other schools and styles was notable, especially towards the end of the 18th century. The rediscovered Greek texts explained how music could heal illness and became the inspiration for the group to develop a style. This is the reason why so many early operas are centered in ancient Greek mythology. Throughout history, the style kept growing thanks to the contribution of European composers and performers. The 20th Century however focused mainly in the development of talented singers. Some of my favorite tenors are Mario Del Monaco, Alfredo Kraus, Luciano Pavarotti, and Jonas Kaufmann.

I have adopted Bel Canto as it is my heritage and my favorite way to deliver emotions through music.
